It’s Friday night, so I thought I’d post something just for fun that I know my longtime readers will enjoy: it’s from an aborted Random Roles with Holly Hunter that took place at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena when she was in the midst of promoting the first season of TOP OF THE LAKE.
You know me: I always like to ask actors about the first time they stepped in front of the camera for something that wasn’t just, say, a commercial…and in Ms. Hunter’s case, it was exactly the sort of project that you’d expect most actors to completely dismiss out of hand: a ‘80s summer-camp slasher flick called THE BURNING.
As it happens, however, Hunter gave me a great response about how it still managed to successfully seduce her into pursuing a career in front of the camera in earnest.
In short, Holly Hunter is awesome. But you already knew that.
Thank you for this! I am a fan of Hunter's work and never knew about this movie, so am now interested in seeing it. The segment is also very funny.
