Given that I live in Virginia, the fact that I managed to meet any of these people is pretty amazing, so the fact that I actually got to meet all of them as a result of doing Random Roles interviews for the A.V.
Christopher Plummer! Seriously - all of these are incredible, but Christopher. Freaking. Plummer. Better you than me, I probably would have managed to embarrass the hell out of myself.
When it comes to being concerned about possible embarrassment, I always tell this same story, so forgive me if you've heard it, but...when I attended my first TCA tour in 2007, I walked into the Beverly Hilton, completely unfamiliar with the tour, and my eyes immediately landed on Anthony Stewart Head, best known ( at least to me) for playing Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I couldn't believe it. I asked him if I could take his picture. Didn't even need one with him, just wanted one *of* him. He was kind enough to say "yes." As I walked away, I immediately called my wife and started to tell her, "You'll never believe it, I just met Giles from Buffy!" And as I was doing so, I realized that I was walking directly behind Dick Van Dyke. It was at that moment that I had the epiphany that I was going to need to seriously step up my game in regards to treating celebrities as regular people. Thankfully, I've never really had a moment since then where I felt like I truly embarrassed myself...except for when I hadn't yet realized the importance of not fully taking advance of an open bar when you're also trying to do interviews.

But that's a story for another time.
