In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, I pulled off a multifaceted career high: not only did I successfully pitch a story to Smithsonian, but I successfully convinced three Oscar nominees - a director and two actors, one of which, it must be said, is the voice of Darth Vader - to do interviews with me for the piece before I’d actually managed to sell it!
