Belatedly, My Best Work of 2022

Right as we entered the new year, I posted something on social media where I indicated that 2022 was the first year that ended with me having virtually no desire to put together a best-of list of my work from throughout the year. It wasn’t that I didn’t think I’d done anything worth remembering, but it was just such a long, tiring, and underwhelming year that the memories of what I’d done had kind of gotten lost in a fog of depression.

After writing that social media post, however, I decided to actually take a look back and see what I had accomplished during the course of 2022, and I’ll be honest: I really had forgotten about a couple of conversations that were legitimate career highs. It’s kind of embarrassing, frankly, but it’s also a testament to just how down I’ve felt throughout the latter half of the year, and it’s also a reminder to try my best not to let that happen to me in 2023.

So here, then, is a collection of all 19 print interviews I did during the course of 2022 (plus the video interview I did with Gary Anthony Williams), followed by the links to the Pilot Error pieces I did this year, all of which involved a few interviews in their own right. Lastly, you’ll see a link to the playlist for all of the Just a Couple of Characters video interviews I did during 2022. Naturally, I hope to be able to line up more interviews for that feature in 2023, but I’ll be happy to line up more interviews, period!
